QuickAlert Online Fact Sheet

What is QuickAlert and How Does It Work?

  • QuickAlert, TriWest’s automated notification service, provides registered users with fast, convenient, and secure notifications regarding www.triwest.com accounts.
  • You can log in to your secure www.triwest.com account and click the “My QuickAlerts” link to subscribe or unsubscribe to QuickAlert, or to update your QuickAlert preferences, at any time.
  • To protect privacy, QuickAlert notifications do not include confidential or protected information. You must log in to your secure www.triwest.com account to view such information.
  • As a registered user, you will continue to receive printed copies of your authorizations, referrals and claim summaries once processed through US mail.

Authorization and Referral E-mails

  • By registering you are automatically opted in to receive QuickAlert e-mail notifications when your non-sensitive authorization or referral status changes.

Authorization and Referral Outbound Calls

  • Registered users can sign up to receive phone call notifications when your authorization or referral status changes. This option is available through the “My QuickAlerts” page of your secure www.triwest.com account.
  • If you have opted in to receive outbound call QuickAlerts when your authorization or referral is processed, you will receive a brief message to the phone number of your choice alerting you of the status change
  • TriWest will make phone calls to 10-digit US phone numbers Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in all US time zones with the following message:
“TriWest Healthcare Alliance has an important message for you.

Your TRICARE referral or authorization for services has been processed and the status is now available online. To view your authorization or referral, simply visit www.triwest.com and log in to your secure account. Remember, you can easily update your QuickAlert preferences online, anytime at TriWest.com.

Thank you.”

Claims E-mails

  • As a registered user, you will be notified via QuickAlert e-mail when your TRICARE claims have been processed and a balance is due on your claim. Your claim summary (referred to as an Explanation of Benefits) is available to view online.
  • All registered users are automatically opted in to receive this QuickAlert.

Password Expiration E-mails

  • By default, registered users will receive an e-mail from TriWest five days before your www.triwest.com account passwords are about to expire. The e-mail prompts you to log into www.triwest.com and follow the prompts to ensure passwords are up-to-date.
QuickAlert is another value-added service provided by TriWest Healthcare Alliance. Beneficiaries are encouraged to take advantage of other convenient online resources available at www.triwest.com:

- Find a health care provider - Download forms - Pay enrollment fees
- Check claims status - Track out-of-pocket costs - Establish automatic payments
- Read TRICARE news & updates - Verify eligibility - Update personal information
Note: A maximum of one QuickAlert claim, authorization/referral, or password expiration notification per day will be sent to a given e-mail address or phone number for any of the above transactional messages.
