Yes. This program is completely voluntary and there is no cost to participate. There is also no impact to your other TRICARE benefits should you decide to participate.

What will a TriWest Clinical Health Coach do for me?

A clinical health coach will:

  • Schedule an appointment to call and review your health status
  • Ask you questions about your health history, current health habits, medications you are taking, and the healthcare services you use
  • Develop a personalized educational plan and work with you to help you reach your goals
  • Send letters to your doctors so they know you are participating in our program
  • Continue to help you as long as you want to participate in the program and work toward achieving your wellness goals

How do I know the materials you mail are accurate and up-to-date?

Our clinical health coaches follow the same clinical practice guidelines that the Department of Defense and Veterans Administration doctors use in their practices. Our printed materials come from such reliable sources as:

  • National Institutes of Health
  • Centers for Disease Control
  • National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute

Our educational materials are reviewed by TriWest Healthcare Alliance medical directors to make sure you are getting the most accurate, up-to-date information available with respect to your health.

What are your hours of operation?

Clinical health coaches are available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, or by appointment.

What if I have an emergency?

If you have a health care emergency, please call 9-1-1.

If you experience a behavioral health crisis, please call 9-1-1 for emergencies. For non-emergency support, contact the TriWest Crisis Line: 1-866-284-3743. Trained clinicians are available to assist you 24/7.
