TriWest Opens New Operations Center in El Paso

El Paso, Tx., (March 18, 2016) – TriWest Healthcare Alliance, along with elected officials and distinguished guests, welcomed 235 employees to the company’s new Operations Center in El Paso on Friday. TriWest serves the community health care needs of America’s veterans, alongside the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in administering the Veterans Choice Program (VCP).

TriWest’s workforce has grown at a rapid pace over the last year in order to meet the growing demand of the VCP. The company has expanded operations centers from just two sites – Phoenix, AZ and Puyallup, WA – in May 2015 to 10 sites of operations; to now include El Paso.

The following speakers inspired TriWest’s new El Paso workforce on Friday about the privilege of supporting VA in serving the health care needs of our nation’s veterans.

“The work you will be doing at TriWest supporting VA in serving our nation’s veterans here in El Paso and throughout the state of Texas is vital to ensure veterans have access to quality health care in the communities in which they reside,” said McIntyre to the staff of 235 new employees, “El Paso is one of the Top Ten best cities for Veterans in the United States, with a strong commitment to the Department of Veterans Affairs Economic Communities Initiative. I couldn’t be more pleased to be with you all here today to welcome you to our company and thank you for your solid commitment to serve our nation’s veterans.”

The new employees working in the company's El Paso Operations Center provide support for veterans by processing health care requests, handling inbound and outbound telephone calls with veterans and health care providers, and scheduling appointments for veterans in the community with providers in El Paso and across Texas. This area is part of the 28 states the company serves in support of VA.

"I am grateful for TriWest's commitment to El Paso and to serving and hiring veterans in our community,” said Congressman Beto O'Rourke.

TriWest officially launched operations in El Paso on Monday and welcomed invited guests to the grand opening event on Friday. The TriWest Operations Center in El Paso will assist veterans with community health care needs locally and throughout the 28 states the company serves.
