TriWest Healthcare Alliance to Continue to Serve Veterans in the U.S. Territories in the Pacific Under VA’s Community Care Network Region 4

(Phoenix, AZ) – TriWest Healthcare Alliance will continue to provide Veterans in the U.S. territories in the Pacific to include Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands with community health care services under the company’s VA Community Care Network (CCN) Region 4 contract.

CCN Region 4 currently includes the western states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Beginning in late January 2022, the U.S. territories in the Pacific, including Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands will transition to the CCN Region 4 territory of responsibility. Veterans currently receiving care under VA’s Patient-Centered Community Care (PC3) will continue to be seen by contracted medical professionals in the community under VA’s CCN contract.

TriWest is responsible for building and maintaining a network of community health care providers, paying claims, and providing customer service under the CCN contract. The complete transition from PC3 to CCN Region 4 is expected to be complete by March 31, 2022, or as otherwise directed by VA. TriWest has been serving eligible VA patients with care in the community since 2013.
