TriWest’s Policy Statement in Support of Small Businesses
TriWest is fully committed to supporting small businesses, as demonstrated by the policy below, which was issued by our President and Chief Executive Officer, David J. McIntyre, Jr.:
"It is the policy of TriWest Healthcare Alliance that small business concerns, veteran-owned small business concerns, service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, HUBZone small business concerns, small disadvantaged business concerns, and women-owned small business concerns shall have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in performing services for the company and providing equipment, services and supplies that the company uses in its work.
It is further the policy of TriWest to establish procedures to ensure the timely payment of amounts due pursuant to the terms of our subcontracts with small business concerns, veteran-owned small business concerns, service-disabled veteran owned small business concerns, HUBZone small business concerns, small disadvantaged business concerns, and women-owned small business concerns.
TriWest hereby agrees to carry out this policy in the awarding of subcontracts to the fullest extent it can while still providing efficient performance of the work to which it has committed. TriWest further agrees to cooperate in any studies or surveys as may be conducted by the United States Small Business Administration or those government entities for which it performs work.
TriWest, in good faith, may rely on written representations by our subcontractors regarding their status as a small business concern, a veteran-owned small business concern, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern, a small disadvantaged business concern, or a women-owned small business concern."
