Loyalty, Leadership and a Strong Work Ethic: Hiring Our Nation’s Heroes

PHOENIX (July 25, 2023) — According to the Department of Labor, approximately 200,000 Service Members leave the military each year and return to civilian life. For many, this transition includes the search for meaningful employment.

The nation’s heroes deserve our support as they transition into the civilian workforce and on July 25, 2023, National Hire a Veteran Day is observed to support Veterans looking for employment. TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) has a long history of hiring Veterans and military family members, and it begins with a strong recruitment process.

To honor this day, two TriWest employees shared their work in attracting, recruiting and hiring Veterans. They discussed the special attributes Veterans bring to their work – as well as tips and resources for Veterans.

Kim Kasle has managed the Recruiting Team in Human Capital at TriWest for the past seven years. Kristi Bulla, TriWest’s Strategic Workforce Engagement Manager and a long-time employee, is also passionate about the work she does and shared her insights.
