VA Expediting Veteran Prescriptions through Holiday Season

WASHINTON (December 6, 2023) – For Veterans who receive their prescriptions through the mail, they can be assured the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is committed to deliver medications on time, even during this season of increased mail volume.

To help assure prompt prescription deliveries, VA says its Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy continually monitors USPS delivery for its prescriptions to reach Veterans. According to VA, if it appears a delivery delay is anticipated it will fill prescriptions earlier.

VA will also work with USPS and local VA Medical Centers to ensure prescriptions are delivered on time. VA says it uses FedEx Ground or an overnight delivery service if needed.
