VA Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Available to Help Women Veterans Thrive
WASHINGTON (July 8, 2024) — The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers women Veterans prosthetic and sensory aids designed to fit their individual body size and lifestyle needs. VA’s gender-specific options meet a range of device needs for women Veterans including maternity items, post-mastectomy items, wigs, reversible contraceptives, and more.
VA also offers all eligible Veterans assistive options such as mobility aids, hearing aids, glasses, communications devices, custom limbs, adaptive equipment, and other items.
For women Veterans with unique health care needs, eligibility for special rehabilitation and treatments can also be determined through VA’s Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Services.
