Introduction
This document is TriWest Healthcare Alliance Corp.’s ("TriWest", "we" or "our") External Digital Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Accessibility Compliance Statement (the "508 Accessibility Compliance Statement").
Our Policy & Commitment
TriWest is committed to providing the most enjoyable and informative experience to its workforce and the Veterans, medical professionals and government partners that it serves, which includes a commitment to ensure that its websites and online services are accessible to individuals with disabilities, as required by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (referred to as "Section 508" or the "36 CFR 1194 Standards"). Compliance with Section 508 by TriWest is documented in TriWest’s Accessibility Conformance Reports, VPAT 2.4 Revised Section 508 edition, which are available upon written request to TriWest. Additionally, we are also committed to comply with all of the following U.S. federal laws and regulations:
Digital Accessibility Statement
TriWest is committed to ensuring that our websites and online services conform to WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA of Section 508 as of the effective date of this 508 Accessibility Compliance Statement. Additionally, we continue to develop our accessibility and Section 508 compliance program with current and improved WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA guidelines, which includes coordination with our accessibility partners, as well as designing, developing and testing our applicable websites and online services.
TriWest’s Accessibility Features
The following are some examples of Section 508 compliance features we have implemented in connection with our applicable websites and online services:
- Structural Markup Features: Our applicable websites and online services have been updated and revised to apply semantic elements and techniques such as headings, lists, paragraphs, and WAI-ARIA markup) to help ensure that users with visual or hearing disabilities who access our applicable websites and online services can understand the content and navigate more easily.
- Alternative Text Equivalents Features: Our applicable websites and online services have been updated and revised so that individuals who have visual or hearing disabilities have the option to utilize a form of a text equivalent to interact with our websites and online services. We are committed to providing optional features in connection with our websites and online services to ensure that images and media are accessible.
- Keyboard Access Features: Our applicable websites and online services have been updated and revised to help ensure that keyboard-only users can navigate and access our applicable websites and online services.
Consistency: We are working to help ensure that accessibility best practices are applied consistently across our applicable websites and online services.
