TriWest Healthcare Alliance Receives Two Full URAC Accreditations

Phoenix, AZ (May 15, 2020) – TriWest Healthcare Alliance announced today that it has earned two full URAC accreditations: one for its Health Network program and one for its Case Management program.

URAC, based in Washington, D.C., is an independent accreditation entity with a mission to advance health care quality through leadership, accreditation, measurement and innovation.

Receiving URAC Accreditation shows that TriWest's work reaches the highest level of quality and outcomes. This, of course, is in the best interest of those served by TriWest – our nation’s Veterans – and those who work with TriWest – the network of community providers.

"We at TriWest are honored and privileged to continue our work at the side of the Department of Veterans Affairs to meet the health care needs of Veterans. I would like to extend our thanks to the URAC representatives for the time and effort they spent to validate our Health Network and Case Management programs," said TriWest's President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr. "This year’s process was a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet it was no less rigorous than in years past. The team at TriWest works year-round to provide exemplary service, and receiving these accreditations reflects TriWest’s dedication to URAC's high standards of quality in the work that we do each day. Our nation’s Veterans receive quality services and enhanced access to care from TriWest's network of medical professionals who are available to care for Veterans in the community, when VA determines that care is needed."

"Your organization is commended for its commitment to promoting quality health services by obtaining URAC accreditation," noted Monica C. Dantzler-Thomas, MSN, MHA, RN, CCM, LNC, Director, Care Management for URAC.

TriWest's accreditation in Case Management is effective from June 1, 2020 to June 1, 2023, and its accreditation in Health Network award is effective from August 1, 2020 to August 1, 2023.
