National Nurses Month Celebrates Dedication of Health Care’s Unsung Heroes

PHOENIX (May 21, 2024) — The nation’s vital health care system is dependent and reliant on the highly-trained skills of capable, committed and passionate nurses. Nurses provide invaluable care to their patients, take and monitor essential vital signs, help patients understand procedures and medications, and advocate for patients in need of immediate care.

For National Nurses Month, it is important to recognize that our nation’s nurses help ensure patients’ voices are heard and that they receive the care they need when ill or injured. Veterans and other military-connected individuals should be aware that thousands of committed nurses work on their behalf to deliver high-quality and compassionate care they deserve.
