TRICARE Beneficiaries: TRICARE Open Season Enrollment Ends December 9
PHOENIX (December 1, 2025) — For TRICARE beneficiaries, time is running out to enroll in health care benefits during the current TRICARE Open Season. Health plan enrollment ends Tuesday, Dec. 9.
The current TRICARE Open Season allows eligible beneficiaries to enroll for health care coverage or make changes to their TRICARE plans for 2026. Changes to TRICARE plans made by Dec. 9, 2025, will take effect on Jan. 1, 2026.
According to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), TRICARE Open Season is essential to review coverage and choose a plan that best suits a family’s needs.
DHA advises that even if beneficiaries don’t make changes to their plan, it’s important to check enrollment information and confirm their plan best suits their health care needs.
TRICARE Open Season applies to anyone enrolled in or eligible for these TRICARE health plans:
- TRICARE Prime
- TRICARE Prime Remote
- TRICARE Prime option – US Family Health Plan (available only in certain areas)
- TRICARE Prime Overseas
- TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas
- TRICARE Select
- TRICARE Select Overseas
