Chief Customer Service Officer

Fidel serves as Chief Customer Service Officer at TriWest. His primary focus is on ensuring Veterans, TRICARE beneficiaries and community providers receive the highest levels of customer service from TriWest.

Raised in the military community where his father proudly served in the U.S. Navy, Fidel knows first-hand the importance of access to quality health care for the military and Veteran communities.

Fidel’s career spans over 30 years of operations and customer service leadership in the private and government services sectors. His career includes senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase and the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan, a federal employees health plan.

In 2007, Fidel began leading customer service efforts within the TRICARE program, implementing many commercial best practices to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. He later expanded those practices when leading the customer service efforts for VA’s initial Patient-Centered Community Care program.

Fidel earned his bachelor’s degree in music from James Madison University and his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
