
VA’s Whole Health Program Supports Personalized, Comprehensive Care for Women Veterans
WASHINGTON (January 10, 2025) — Many women Veterans prefer a comprehensive and personalized approach to their health care that considers their unique concerns, needs and goals.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Whole Health program can foster positive, lasting changes in women Veterans’ lives, including their physical, mental, emotional and social well-being.
According to VA, women Veterans can use the program’s complementary offerings to prioritize their comprehensive needs as the center of their VA health care.
VA’s Whole Health program focuses care on the whole person, including self-care resources for well-being, complementary and integrated health therapies, and individual support.
Areas like fitness, nutrition, stress management, sleep, and personal development are also addressed, VA says.
