New Urgent Virtual Care Option for U.S. TRICARE Prime Beneficiaries

PHOENIX (February 18, 2026) — TRICARE Prime beneficiaries living in the U.S. now have access to an urgent virtual care option for common care issues.

According to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), virtual urgent care options for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries have been expanded for those who see a primary care manager at a military hospital or clinic.

The new virtual urgent care option allows TRICARE Prime enrollees age 12 and older to schedule care through the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line, DHA says.

If a beneficiary’s military clinic is booked, the Nurse Advice Line can assess whether a virtual urgent care appointment is needed for the same or next day, DHA adds.

The new urgent virtual care option is only available within the U.S.
