Women Veterans Day Celebrates Pride, Honor and Service
PHOENIX (June 12, 2025) — Each year, June 12 is nationally observed as Women Veterans Day honoring the service, contributions and sacrifices of women Veterans.
In our nation’s military, women have a long history of service in important roles for our security and protection.
Yet, women Veterans weren’t formally honored for their service until June 12, 2018, with the 70th anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act.
Today, women Veterans are more prominently honored for their service and sacrifices. For example, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) features a Women Veterans Program at every VA Medical Center to provide important resources and information.
As a long-time supporter of Veterans, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) is proud to be annually recognized for hiring Veterans, including women Veterans.
For Women Veterans Day, TriWest interviewed several women Veteran employees about their serve and how it impacted their lives.
This new Healthy Homefront® feature shares more on these TriWest women Veteran employees and their proud military service.
