TRICARE Beneficiaries: Get Needed Care Through the Active Duty Dental Program
PHOENIX (December 10, 2025) — During military service, dental health is a serious but too often overlooked factor in maintaining physical wellness.
According to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), maintaining dental health is a critical part of overall force readiness. Preventing unnecessary dental complications keeps forces healthy, strong and prepared.
For eligible active duty TRICARE beneficiaries, it’s important they understand their care options if they live too far from their nearest military dental clinic or need care it can’t provide.
DHA wants these TRICARE beneficiaries to know that the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) allows them to get care through local providers under certain requirements.
The ADDP helps prevent dental problems from becoming more serious, DHA says. It guides beneficiaries to the right care without delay and ensures they get dental care when they need it.
