PHOENIX (May 11, 2026) — Throughout military life, embarking on lengthy, demanding deployments is a fairly routine part of serving for the nation’s protection.
For those who have previously deployed, their spouses or partners, their children, and their extended families, the feelings of loneliness, distance, and isolation that can come with military deployments can be common but still challenging.
However, others who have never previously experienced deployments during service can struggle with the challenging impacts of loneliness, distance, and isolation, leaving them uncertain how to cope.
