TriWest Honored to Begin Transition to TRICARE West Region

PHOENIX (February 2, 2024) – On January 31, 2024, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims affirmed the U.S. Department of Defense’s award of the TRICARE West Region contract to TriWest Healthcare Alliance.

On behalf of our non-profit health care plan and university hospital system owners, our employees, subcontractors, and the health care providers with whom we partner, we thank the DOD for entrusting us with this important mission. TriWest previously held the TRICARE contract for 17 years, and it’s a privilege to return to this work. As a longstanding partner of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, we have been privileged to support our nation's Veterans by administering VA’s Community Care Network (CCN) in Regions 4 and 5, and we are honored to expand this work to include military members, their families and retirees.
